From MARC "The Mid-America Regional Council is updating its Coordinated Plan, which establishes regional goals and strategies for transportation and mobility services for older adults and individuals with disabilities.

Please help us in this endeavor by distributing this survey to users of special transportation services, including older adults, individuals with disabilities, veterans and low-income populations. Their input will influence new and existing programs, and help generate new services to meet their needs.

Main Street MAX moves to Grand Ave downtown and becomes Main MAX today. Lots of route changes and name changes. The southern end of Troost MAX will be extended to the new Three Trails Transit Center at Bannister and Blue Ridge from Bannister and Drury.

Kansas City voters citywide narrowly supported a measure Tuesday that prohibits city government from participating in streetcar expansion. They defeated Clay Chastain’s rail plan.

Congratulations! First big hurdle is expanding the Transportation Development District for 2458 YES, 1048 NO.

Voters have approved creation of a new taxing district that could eventually lead to expansion of the downtown streetcar system to the University of Missouri Kansas City.

Just received FTA letter acknowledging our Kansas City region ADA and Title VI Civil Rights Complaints. Now they will investigate our complaints to determine their merits. This part will take some time.

Councilman Reed "gets" public transit and its role in the community. He makes it clear that his experience riding the bus gave him this perspective. More politicians need to "Get on the Bus". Also, write or call your Congress member to tell them we seriously need the federal funding for Prospect MAX that has already been committed!

As the youngest person elected to the City Council in Kansas City, I’ve never forgotten the bus ride that inspired my commitment to restoring the Prospect Corridor.
