Corporate budgets for the year ahead are taking shape right now. Here's one line item that pays back in every business: a safe Kansas City.

A Call for BackUp is the Police Foundation of Kansas City's primary fundraising community event, where sponsorship is more than a seat at the table. Your support goes to work right away, funding the capabilities that keep our officers ready and our city prepared. In return, your company is recognized among 1,200-plus attendees and thousands more across the metro.

There's a place at every level, from Patron to Chief Sponsor, each built to put private capital to work and strengthen public safety. This isn't a charity line. It's an investment that helps Kansas City thrive.

Meet the new look of the Police Foundation of Kansas City.

Our refreshed logo keeps the shield that connects us to KCPD and adds a figure that represents you, our community. Same navy and gold. Same mission. Our new website launches today too. It’s easier to navigate, simpler to give, and shows how your support strengthens KCPD and our city.

Everyone wants to feel safe. We’re proud to show you how we’re working toward that, together.

A great game day starts with feeling safe.

While tens of thousands of fans make their way to Arrowhead, KCPD officers and specialized units are working across Kansas City, managing traffic, crowds, security, and the perimeter to help keep fans, businesses, and residents safe.

The Police Foundation of Kansas City helps ensure KCPD has the equipment, technology, training, and resources needed to prepare for the crowds and protect the city.

Because everyone wants to feel safe. Enjoy the game. Go Chiefs!

Leadership that leaves a lasting impact deserves to be recognized.

The Police Foundation of Kansas City is proud to welcome Jerry Reece and Buzz Willard as our newest Emeritus Directors, recently nominated and approved in recognition of their leadership, service and commitment to our mission.

Jerry and Buzz have each played an important role in strengthening the Foundation and supporting the work of KCPD. This distinction honors what they have contributed while keeping their experience and leadership connected to the Foundation for years to come.

Please join us in congratulating and saying thank you to Jerry and Buzz!

Everyone wants to feel safe. In modern policing, that means trusting both the tools law enforcement uses and the systems that govern them.

In his latest blog, Police Foundation President & CEO Tye Grant looks beyond any one technology or vendor to ask: What checks and balances ensure sensitive information is used appropriately, lawfully, and for its intended purpose?

On Fridays, Kansas City turns red. It's a tradition that says something simple: we show up for our city, together.

There's another color working every day of the week. From the downtown business district to the crowds at Arrowhead, the men and women of KCPD keep this city ready, whether it's a quiet Sunday or a stadium full of 70,000.

That readiness is not a finish line. It's the daily work of keeping our neighborhoods, our events, and our game days safe, so Kansas City can be the kind of place people love to show up for.

So wear your red. And know there's a blue line behind it. Everyone wants to feel safe. In Kansas City, that's a team effort.

Kansas City has proven it can welcome the world. The crowds, the visitors, the national spotlight: none of it is by accident. It's because a city is ready for it.

More major events are ahead, and each one asks the same thing of Kansas City's community: can we deliver an experience worth coming back for? Safety is what answers that question. It turns attention into investment, a first visit into a return trip, and a single event into a reoccurring opportunity.

Readiness is not a finish line. It's the ongoing work of keeping our officers, businesses, and public spaces prepared for whatever comes next, and it's what every future opportunity is built on.

Everyone wants to feel safe. A safe Kansas City is a Kansas City the world will keep coming back to.
