The Foundation for Delta Educational and Economic Development

The Foundation for Delta Educational and Economic Development We are a non-profit organization serving the needs of women, children, and families in the urban Kansas City through educational and economic development.

Our main location is the Delta Athenaeum, a historic event space in the Hyde Park neighborhood. The DEED Foundation is a 501(c)3 charitable organization working to empower youth, women and families through educational and economic development. The Foundation owns and operates the Delta Athenaeum, a historic property and event space located in the urban core of Kansas City, Missouri. In partnership

with the KCMO Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., DEED co-sponsors the Cotillion Scholarship Program. Since 1986, Cotillion has awarded more than $1,000,000 in scholarships to nearly 900 high school seniors throughout the metropolitan area. DEED also provides support for the Delta Gems and Delta Academy youth development programs, which are hosted at the Delta Athenaeum.

To make this vision a reality, we are officially opening our CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS. We are looking for passionate individuals who want to help us celebrate, empower, and inspire the next generation of leaders.
