Congratulations to Jason and Amanda Wagner of Wags Backwoods BBQ on claiming Grand Champion honors in the Master Series Invitational at the 8th Annual KCBS World Invitational Championship. From the world stage in Lebanon, Tennessee to the international spotlight in Las Vegas, their road now leads to the BBQ World Cup in April 2027.

Thank you all for making the Minnesota in May contest possible. We had 77 master teams and 35 backyard teams for the largest contest we have had. Thanks to our many volunteers and teams and judges who make Minnesota’s premier The Kansas City Barbeque Society possible. Congratulations to Burnt Trees BBQ on the GC and the first North Dakota to qualify for the BWC and Smoking Suckers on the RGC. In the back yard congratulations to Sassy Smoke BBQ on the GC and Big Ten Bones on the RGC. It was a stacked field of competitors.
