Following the August demolition of the existing Holmes Street bridge over I-670 in downtown Kansas City, our crews have been working hard to deliver its replacement. Today, we're excited to share that the new bridge is now open to traffic ahead of schedule!

The project replaces a bridge that was nearing the end of its service life while bringing several important improvements to the corridor, including upgraded infrastructure, increased vertical clearance to meet current standards, and enhanced safety for motorists and pedestrians traveling through the area.

A big thanks to the residents, businesses, and visitors who navigated detours and traffic changes during construction. We appreciate your patience as our team worked to deliver a safer, more reliable bridge for the community!
