Piano Technicians Guild The Official page for the PTG. With approximately 3500 members, the Guild certifies and trains Piano Technicians all over the world.

The Piano Technicians Guild (PTG), based in Kansas City, Kansas, is the official organization of the Registered Piano Technician (RPT). The PTG was formed in 1957 when the American Society of Piano Technicians and the National Association of Piano Tuners merged to form a single organization.

More students in the house! 📚 The “Grand Action Regulation in 37 Steps” class kicked off at 8 o’clock this morning here at the Home Office. Already the parts are coming out and the hands-on instruction is underway.

In addition to this class that runs through Saturday, there are educational activities happening around the US this weekend. If you’re participating in one of those, pat yourself on the back!

We’ve got a full classroom of students here at the PTG Office for the Polyester & Lacquer Finish Touch Up Academy! The guru, Mike Ello, RPT, will spend the next two days guiding these technicians through the secrets finish repair so that they can work on damaged pianos in the field. But that’s just for starts!

🎹 May 7th, we’ll welcome another FULL HOUSE of students for a brand-new class on Vertical Piano Regulation.
🎹 May 14th, we’ll welcome 10 more students for the Grand Action Regulation in 37 Steps class.

All of these classes are full—but! There are other great educational opportunities taking place around the country this month, many open to both PTG Members and Non-Members, AND some with online options! Visit www.ptg.org/ptgmain/about/events
