Show Me Riders Horse Club of Kansas City

By now, you may have guessed that there won't be a Ponies & Pumpkins this year 😭. I know; it's a little sad.

But everything has its season, and Show Me Riders is entering a new one. We aim to remain Kansas City's premier equestrian organization for youth in the city; to achieve this, we need to examine how we execute.

You will notice some changes in our appearance, and probably even our name. Still, the goal remains the same. Introducing horsemanship to communities, especially Black communities, ensures we stay connected to the saddle and a culture as American as we are, one that we've never left behind.

We will still be here, quietly growing in the background, and still committed to the city. You can continue to reach out to us through our Facebook or Instagram pages for updates and opportunities to stay involved. You can also email us at [email protected]

…we’re still celebrating Black History around here 🖤

For the fourth consecutive year, you can celebrate Black History Month with free admission to the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum!

The Kansas City Royals Foundation is proud to provide free admission for the entire month of February. Don’t miss this chance to honor the legacy and history of the game.

Thanksgiving is tomorrow! Yikes on a bike 😱 That means Christmas is less than 30 days away 🎅

We're making our lists and checking them twice, and we need your help!

We are always in need of elves. It takes a lot of work to bring the North Pole to Kansas City, and we are thankful for all of Santa's helpers. You can slide in our DMs or visit the website to join our Christmas team!

Did you know horses can’t breathe through their mouths 🐴

That's right! Horses can only breathe through their nostrils, so they can't pant to regulate their temperature. However, they can flare their nostrils to help them breathe easier when it's hot or after exercise.
