Three years into the war, many families in are still living in tents or among the ruins of their homes, while attacks continue.

Nearly every woman and girl in Gaza has been displaced.

But women are more than victims of this crisis. They are leading organizations, caring for families, supporting survivors, and holding communities together against impossible odds.

Working alongside women-led organizations, UN Women continues to deliver life-saving support and amplify the voices of women and girls across Gaza. Yet severe funding cuts are putting this life-saving work at risk.

A longstanding mission of the United Nations, international peacekeeping – pioneered by the League of Nations – is at a crossroads.

Through legitimacy, burden-sharing and an ability to deploy peacekeeping troops (the Blue Helmets) and police worldwide, the U.N. has helped countries navigate the difficult path from conflict to peace.

On Wednesday, Sept. 30, join us alongside international military officers and a representative from the U.N.’s Office of Military Affairs (Department of Peace Operations) to hear them share their experiences as peacekeepers and discuss the U.N.'s future at a time of escalating global tensions and limited resources.

This event is free with RSVP, in-person only. A reception at 6 p.m. will precede the 6:30 p.m. panel discussion. Register: https://theworldwar.org/events/future-peacekeeping-troubled-world-2026

Hosted in partnership with the United Nations Association of Greater Kansas City.
