Club members had the opportunity to tour the newly opened KCK Community Education, Health and Wellness Center in downtown KCK.

A Community Open House will be held on Thursday, August 4th from 3pm-5pm for those who missed the chance to visit.

Our Club's August 4, 2026, meeting will be a tour of KCKCC's new Community Education, Health & Wellness Center, 1101 North 7th Street, Kansas City, Kansas (7th Street and State Avenue). Please meet at Noon at the main entrance of the building (facing 7th Street), just inside the lobby of the building. The tour will begin at Noon and is anticipated to take approximately 45 minutes.

As this meeting is a tour, we will not be having lunch, and we will not be able to broadcast the meeting via Zoom.

A map of the downtown campus is located below (top of the map is west). We will gather in the lobby, just inside the front building entrance, located at the top of the map near the blue phone icon.

Parking should be available along nearby streets and may be available in the parking lot located to the east of the new KCKCC building, near the Willa Gill Center.

Field Trip Reminder: Our 7/21 meeting will be held at Heathwood Oil, 2011 North 10th Street, KCK.

Greg Shondell will be providing our meeting spot and our program as he shares about Heathwood Oil as it celebrates its 100th Anniversary.

Heathwood Oil is located on the northeast corner of 10th and Parallel, and the glass door you should enter faces 10th Street. Park in any available spot, and if parking spaces are full, Greg will direct you where to park.

Recently, two major earthquakes hit Venezuela, leaving collapsed
buildings and a trail of devastation in their wake. District 5710 has
now provided information about how we as Rotarians may respond to assist in this crisis. If you wish to donate to support relief efforts in Venezuela, please visit

The two earthquakes that struck Venezuela on June 24 have left at least 2,645 people dead, 12,666 injured, and many others missing. Approximately 15,050 people have been left homeless, and 885 buildings have been damaged. The Rotary Foundation is providing assistance through Disaster Response Grants...
