👏👏Congratulations to two of our DC3 members, Justin Santhuff, Glazier Organizer, and John Ellis, Drywall Finisher & Part-Time Instructor, on completing their IUPAT Peer Support Training at International Union of Painters and Allied Trades training center.

This training gives them more tools to support our members when they may be dealing with mental health, substance use, or other challenges. More importantly, they’re now part of the IUPAT Helping Hand network of Peer Supporters.

Proud of you both for stepping up and being there for your brothers and sisters. This is what taking care of our own looks like. 👊

Another group of apprentices are back to school! 🤓🏫
Thanks to our District Council 🫡 for continuing to teach our apprentices what it means to Build Union Power in the classroom, on the job, and in our communities.
We’re not just training skilled tradespeople. We’re building the future of our Union.

Last week, we recognized Construction Su***de Prevention Week. Today, we want to keep that conversation going.

One of our apprentices was willing to share his story and his testimony. This is real. This is personal. And this is exactly why these conversations matter.Take a few minutes to listen to his story.

Check on your brothers and sisters. Ask the question. Be willing to listen. And if you’re struggling, please know that you don’t have to carry it alone.
