A message from your Three Trails Commissioner Team:

A wonderful camping season is about to begin. Please ensure all direct contact leaders in your pack or troop who are attending camp at either Camp Naish or Bartle Scout Reservation have their Hazardous Weather Training (good for two years, 30 minutes to be current) and Safeguarding Youth is not expired.

Currently we have 25.7% of our leaders with expired Safeguarding Youth training. You have seven days from when it expired to complete the refresher course (20 minutes to complete) with an 80% pass. If not you will need to take the full course (1 1/2 hours) if it is passed the seven days of expiration or you fail the refresher course. Our Scouts deserve trained leaders leading them.

Have a safe and fantastic time at either camp this summer!

Troops 1062 and 7062 helping to honor Kansas Citians who gave their lives in World War 1 this past Memorial Day at the National World War 1 Museum:

Local scouts placed 441 poppy wreaths at the National World War I Museum and Memorial Monday to honor the 441 Kansas Citians who were killed in the First World War.

Missouri Town, a living history museum in Jackson County, is looking for a couple of Scouts interested in serving as their Color Guard on the 4th of July.

The National Jamboree is this July, and we’re teaming up with the Mid-America Council to offer one EPIC patch set. From Union Station to the Henry Doorly Zoo, this collector’s edition patch collaboration features landmarks across 5 states throughout the Heart of America.

This unique set also includes custom Order of the Arrow patch flaps for both Lodges.

At key points in a youth's Scouts BSA journey, they are invited to pause and reflect. They consider where they have been and think about the path ahead.

This "conversation" is called a board of review.

A board of review is an opportunity for adults to talk with the Scout about their experiences, what they have learned, how those experiences have supported their growth and advancement, and how they are enjoying the program overall.
