On Father's Day, we honor and celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, and father figures who have shaped our lives with their love, guidance, and support.

For those who are grieving the loss of a father or father figure, we recognize that today may bring a mix of emotions. Memories may bring comfort, while loss may feel especially present. Whatever you are feeling, know that you are not alone.

At Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care (KCH), we are here to offer support, understanding, and compassion as you navigate your grief journey. Today, we hold space for cherished memories, enduring love, and the lasting impact of those we carry in our hearts.

Have you heard about our Do Good Days volunteer service projects?

These are once-a-month volunteer opportunities held at both Kansas City Hospice House and NorthCare Hospice House. The volunteer events are non-patient facing, do not require any training, and are perfect for individuals and community groups to sign up for - this includes students (14+) seeking community service hours, as well as employer or community groups that are not registered hospice volunteers.

These volunteer events focus on supporting our patients, families, and care providers. July's activities include creating "All About Me" boards for hospice patients at Kansas City Hospice House, and decorating for summer at NorthCare Hospice House.

Learn more and sign up at KCHospice.org/Volunteer and click on the Do Good Day sign up buttons for the corresponding hospice house.

🥰 Thank you for your support!

Today, we honor Juneteenth, a day of remembrance, reflection, and celebration of freedom.

Juneteenth commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and serves as a reminder of the strength, resilience, and contributions of Black communities throughout our nation's history.

At Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care (KCH), we recognize the importance of creating a culture where every person feels respected, valued, and supported. As we observe Juneteenth, we reflect on the progress made and the work that continues to build more equitable and inclusive communities for all.

“My humanity is bound up in yours, for we can only be human together.” — Desmond Tutu

National Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) Week is a time to celebrate these compassionate professionals who bring comfort, dignity, and human connection to patients and families when it matters most.

At Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care (KCH), our CNAs go beyond providing hands-on care. They offer reassurance during difficult moments, lend a listening ear, ease fears, and so much more. Whether assisting with personal care, monitoring changes, or supporting families through questions and uncertainty, they lead with both skill and heart. They are an essential part of our interdisciplinary care team and a true reflection of what makes hospice care so meaningful.

To our KCH CNAs - THANK YOU for the kindness, dedication, and grace you bring to this work every single day. You embody what it means to have a heart for hospice.

If you're a CNA looking for a career where compassion is valued, teamwork is celebrated, and the care you provide truly changes lives, we'd love to meet you. Join a team where your heart for caring can make a lasting impact at KCHospice.org/BoldStep

🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ We are proud to celebrate Pride Month this June, a time to recognize and appreciate how LGBTQIA+ individuals contribute to our society and positively influence our culture and day-to-day lives.

Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care (KCH) continues to be a proud member of the Mid-America LGBT Chamber of Commerce so we can stay connected with local LGBTQIA+ business happenings, events and equality efforts.

Ensuring a welcoming environment for all is an important part of our KCH identity. Our Belonging and Equal Access (BEA) Employee Resource Group (ERG) is dedicated to fostering a welcoming, compassionate, and accepting environment where every team member, patient, and family feels valued and supported. We strive to remove barriers to access and belonging to ensure care, opportunity, and understanding reach everyone in our community.

🌈 Happy Pride! 🌈
