Black Business Month celebrates Black entrepreneurs while drawing attention to the importance of equitable access to funding, mentorship, professional networks, and opportunities for growth.

Every purchase, referral, partnership, mentorship opportunity, and positive review can help a business grow. When Black-owned businesses thrive, they create jobs, build community wealth, and strengthen the neighborhoods they serve.

Through our ACE Program, we help eligible entrepreneurs with disabilities and caregivers of all racial and ethnic backgrounds pursue their goals with individualized support and resources. We also recognize that Black entrepreneurs navigating disability or caregiving responsibilities may encounter overlapping barriers that deserve greater awareness and intentional support.

This month, we celebrate the vision, innovation, resilience, and leadership of Black entrepreneurs and business owners. Their work creates jobs, strengthens local economies, builds community wealth, and inspires future generations.

Through our ACE Program, The TSOS “Do Good” Foundation supports eligible entrepreneurs with disabilities and caregivers of all racial and ethnic backgrounds. During Black Business Month, we proudly shine an intentional light on Black entrepreneurs and the continued need for equitable access to funding, mentorship, professional networks, and opportunities for growth.

Veteran well-being extends beyond physical healthcare. It can include mental and emotional wellness, disability support, rehabilitation, transportation, employment stability, food security, and meaningful community connections.

The transition to civilian life may affect the entire household. Families and caregivers can also play an essential role in helping veterans navigate health challenges, access resources, and adjust to a new chapter of life.

Supporting those who served means caring for the whole person and recognizing the people who support them. Every veteran and caregiver deserves the opportunity to feel seen, supported, and empowered.

💜 On Purple Heart Day, we honor the courage and sacrifice of service members who were wounded or gave their lives in defense of our country.

We also recognize the families and caregivers who stand beside our veterans, often helping them navigate disabilities, health challenges, and the transition to life after military service.

Our gratitude must extend beyond words. It should include a continued commitment to helping veterans and their families access the care, resources, opportunities, and community support they deserve.

No one who sacrificed for our country should ever feel forgotten or overlooked.

🎓 ACE Scholar Spotlight: Alaine Tate! 🎉⚖️

Join us in celebrating Alaine, a proud graduate of the UMKC School of Law!

During her law school journey, Alaine presented at the Midwest Black Law Students Association Convention, served as an editor for the MWBLSA Journal, and helped revitalize UMKC’s Black Law Students Association. Through the ACE Program, she also received mentorship, conference support, professional exposure, and continued encouragement as she prepares for the Bar Exam.

Alaine’s journey demonstrates why individualized support matters. Talented individuals with disabilities and chronic conditions, as well as caregivers, often need more than financial assistance. They need access to resources, mentorship, meaningful connections, and people who believe in their potential.

That is why the ACE Program exists.
