This is my and my cousin, Jouree's mission. And with the word mission I don't just mean our calling, or our thing-I literally mean that we are starting a mission. A LGBT friendly, and not only that, a free to choose religious services or not mission where the only requirement for a little TV time, a delicious meal, and a soft bed with a fluffy pillow will be acting like a intelligent, mannered, ge
ntleman. An impossible dream you say? Not really, I, Kevin F. Williams, have lived off and on the streets of Kansas City, Mo and Ks. for the since March of 2013. I have seen what is needed in this area and this need is what Free to Be Me plans to give.... What does everyone think? The "homeless problem" in this city, in these states, in this country, and in this world is a little, if not a lot, off the scale. I never in a zillion years ever thought that I would have to worry about where I sat down in the evening, or even more mind numbing, where I would lay my head at night just for a few hours sleep. But, there are more than you can imagine that do worry about these things. Then tighten in the lens a bit more. What about the guys that are a little of the edge of even the homeless community? The LGBT community. One cannot imagine, that in this modern world mentality that I would have to hear the word 'FA**OT" thrown at me more than I care to recollect. So come on --- like us, friend us, SUPPORT us so that we can offer the lgbt community(and their pets) of Kansas City(for now, hoping to expand to other cities) a place of refuge, a place to rely on, a place to call HOME!!!
