National Farm Safety & Health Week is about more than just machinery guards and low-stress cattle handling—it’s about taking care of the whole person.

Long hours, high-stress seasons and physical demands take a toll. This week, we encourage every crew member, manager and producer to:

1️⃣ Prioritize Rest: Fatigue is one of the leading causes of workplace accidents.

2️⃣ Check on Your Neighbor: Mental health is health. Reach out to fellow producers when times get tough.

3️⃣ Stay Hydrated & Fueled: Take breaks during high-intensity yard work.

Happy National Teach Ag Day! 🍎🐂

Behind every steak, burger and pair of boots is a world of science, technology and animal care—and the agriculture educators who teach it all! To celebrate , here are four facts about the U.S. beef industry that might surprise you:

1️⃣ One Stomach, Four Chambers: Cattle don't actually have four stomachs! They have one complex stomach divided into four distinct compartments (Rumen, Reticulum, Omasum and Abomasum) that allow them to upcycle tough, fibrous plants into high-quality protein.

2️⃣ Zero Waste: Over 98% of a beef animal is utilized! Beyond delicious meat, cattle byproducts supply everything from leather to pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and crayons.

3️⃣ World Leaders in Efficiency: U.S. cattle feeders and ranchers produce over 18% of the world's beef supply with just 6% of the global cattle population—making American beef some of the most sustainably produced in the world.

4️⃣ Touchdown for Ag: Official NFL footballs aren't made of pigskin at all—they are made from 100% genuine American cowhide. A single hide can make up to 20 footballs!
