Socks and underwear are some of the most requested items at our Street Support KC outreach events, yet they’re often overlooked when people think about donations.

For individuals experiencing homelessness, having clean socks can help prevent blisters, infections, and foot pain from walking long distances every day. Clean underwear provides comfort, dignity, and basic hygiene that many of us take for granted.

One of the most important parts of our outreach events is making sure people have access to food and drinks throughout the morning.

At our events, we regularly provide sandwiches, chips, granola bars, donuts, cookies, fresh fruit, water, juice, and coffee for individuals and families in need.

Something as simple as a bottle of water during a hot morning or a quick meal can make a real difference. Thank you to everyone who helps us make this possible each month.

Another incredible outreach event with Street Support KC this past Saturday outside the downtown Central Library.

We were able to support over 100 individuals and families with sleeping bags, blankets, clothing, food, hygiene items, and medical care thanks to our amazing volunteers and community partners.

Last Saturday, Street Support KC volunteers partnered with medical students from the Kansas City Teaching Clinic and the Interfaith Coalition for the Unhoused to provide outreach to individuals experiencing homelessness near downtown Kansas City.

Volunteers distributed supplies, connected with residents, and helped clean up the area surrounding the encampment to support a safer and healthier environment for everyone involved.

We’re grateful to everyone who showed up to serve with compassion, dignity, and respect. Small acts of kindness and collaboration can make a meaningful difference!
