My apologies to those who have been checking in here for updates. Thank you for the love, or at least curiosity, that brought you here to check on us! As you’ve probably noticed we don’t visit social media land very often, and it’s been even rarer during this season of politics and Covid.

Ministry has been in full swing since Spring, but due to this virus and the Lord’s leading we’ve definitely been shifting our focus more towards going deeper with individuals and away from wider ministry with crowds. It’s been a life giving shift that fits our gifting / wiring much better.

Anyway, just wanted to let you know we’re alive and well and super grateful for your love, prayers, and support!

For those who hadn’t heard, we’re currently on a sabbatical of sorts. We’ve been trying to delegate much of the ministry load to others so we can sit still, catch our breath, and reconnect with Jesus. Our hope is that He would bring us healing, filling, and direction so we can better share His life-giving love with our community. We’d welcome any prayers to that end!

We’re so grateful to be connected to Multiply Church! It was both humbling and encouraging to be served so generously and to have so many dirty jobs checked off of our to-do list.

Meet DJ. This sweet kid came up to Hannah a couple of weeks ago with a crumpled up dollar bill in his hand. He insisted that she take it, “To help take care of the people that are having hard times”.

His generosity in the midst of his own hard times reminded me of the widow who moved the heart of Jesus by giving her all. The thought of Jesus looking on and smiling makes me smile.

I want to live and love more like DJ.

Kris has been helping me graft fruit-bearing branches onto trees that used to only bear bear thorns and bad fruit. We’ve grafted onto 42 wild w**d trees this spring in hopes of one day having an orchard of redeemed trees that stand as a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor.

Meet Todd. You know those kinds of people whose sense of unvarnished honesty and humor have been perfected in the fires of life? Well, Todd could be the king of that tribe. He’s constantly making us laugh, and is one of the first people I’ll ask if I want to hear about how something really truly is. I wish the world had more Todds.
