During the 2025-2026 school year, Cass Community Health Foundation provided free dental screenings to 7,234 students in Cass County and surrounding area schools โ the highest number in the programโs history! ๐โจ๐ฆท
This year, our school-based screening program expanded to include middle school students in Harrisonville, Grandview, and Belton, helping us reach even more children with preventive dental care.
๐ By the numbers:
โ
7,234 students screened
โ
1,198 volunteer hours
โ
16% of students were identified as needing dental care and connected to follow-up resources
These screenings do more than check teeth. They provide oral health education, hygiene supplies, fluoride treatments, and connections to care through Cass County Dental Clinic when needed.
A huge THANK YOU to our volunteer dentists, dental hygiene students, school nurses, community volunteers, and school district partners who made this incredible achievement possible. They are helping us ensure children stay healthy, confident, and ready to learn! ๐
