100 National Junior Hereford Association members from 25 states came together last week in Boise, Idaho, for an unforgettable week of growth at the 2026 Faces of Leadership Conference.

From hands-on leadership workshops and industry tours to meaningful conversations with business professionals and lifelong friendships, these young "Leaders on the Rise" gained the skills, confidence and connections that will shape their futures. None of it would have been possible without the support of our volunteers, speakers, hosts and industry partners such as Colyer Herefords & Angus. A special reccognition to the Coley-Malir Leadership Endowment, whose commitment to leadership development continues to create life-changing opportunities for Hereford youth by helping make this conference possible every year.

Thank you to everyone who invested their time, talents and resources to make this conference a success. Together, we're building confident leaders and strengthening the future of the Hereford breed—one experience at a time.

Presented during The Hereford Masters in Madison, the Bob Norton Excellence Award recognizes former National Junior Hereford Association members who exemplify Bob Norton's unmatched work ethic, passion for life and unwavering commitment to youth in the Hereford industry.

Congratulations to Mark and Kirbie Sims of Elgin, Okla., recipients of the 2026 Bob Norton Excellence Award. From their years as junior exhibitors to their continued leadership and dedication to the Hereford breed, Mark and Kirbie embody the values this award was created to celebrate.
