CIT International Conference, Day 1. 🐾

Apparently attending CIT International is exhausting.

While Dad was busy learning about crisis intervention, mental health response, and better ways to serve our community, I spent the day providing moral support, networking, and making sure everyone knew I was the most important member of the delegation.

After a long day of professional development, I retired to my hotel room with my stuffy.

It’s important to maintain a healthy work life balance.

Tomorrow, we do it all again. Hopefully with more treats.

✨ Day 1 of the CIT International Conference- Powerful, Inspiring & Unforgettable! 🌎

Day 1 was truly one for the books! From the incredible energy in the room to the connections and conversations happening throughout the day, it was a powerful reminder of what’s possible when we come together with purpose.

One of the highlights was hearing Clay County, Missouri Sheriff Will Akin deliver an impactful keynote speech on homelessness, overcoming adversity, and redirecting your life. His message was a powerful reminder that circumstances don’t have to define your future — with the right support, choices, and determination, lives can be redirected and transformed. 🙏

That message can truly resonate with all of us. Sometimes the biggest turning points in life come when we choose a different direction and refuse to let our past determine where we’re going.

And this is only Day 1! 🔥

Grateful for the lessons, the people, and the inspiration. Looking forward to everything still to come! 🌎❤️ Beacon Mental Health Tri-State K-9 Crisis Response Team
