Seven Pillars Institute for Global Finance and Ethics

Seven Pillars Institute (SPI) for Global Finance and Ethics is an independent, nonprofit 501(3)c, nonpartisan, organization.

It is the world's only independent think tank for research, education and promotion of financial ethics. SPI is the only forum that synthesizes world-class expertise in global finance and moral philosophy. It is moral philosophy that underpins the work of the Institute. The goal of SPI is to find the moral issues in finance, whether they are glaringly obvious, insidiously hidden, or implicitly ass

umed. Further, the goal is to analyze these issues within their financial contexts and consequently, take positions on the issues. The analysis is guided and informed by the rigorous methods and canons of moral philosophy. By highlighting, analyzing, and disseminating our research into the public space, SPI hopes to generate awareness and debate on moral issues in finance. In this way, the Institute aims to enhance ethical practice and policy.
