Our Kansas City Laptop Giveaway Event was more than just handing out computers, it was about supporting local youth and families with tools that can help build confidence, encourage learning, and open new doors for the future.

Seeing kids excited to explore games, complete homework more easily, practice new skills, and discover creative interests reminded us how meaningful access to technology can truly be.

This week, Camp Fire Heartland was proud to host our Kansas City Laptop Giveaway Event in partnership with AT&T. 💻❤️

As part of a nationwide initiative supporting youth and families, local Kansas City students received laptops that will help them continue learning, exploring, and building confidence both in and outside of the classroom. For many families, access to a reliable computer can make a life-changing difference.

Throughout the event, we heard inspiring stories from parents and youth about how these laptops will be used — from homework help and summer learning programs to educational math games, coding, creative projects, and discovering new interests online. Some youth shared excitement about finally having the ability to practice typing skills at home, while others talked about feeling more confident and prepared for school.

At Camp Fire Heartland, we believe every young person deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and discover their spark. We are incredibly grateful to AT&T and Camp Fire for investing in Kansas City families and helping bridge the digital divide in our community.

This week, we hosted our Kansas City Laptop Giveaway Event!
Thanks to a partnership between Camp Fire and AT&T , local families across the Kansas City community received free laptops to help support learning, creativity, and opportunity at home

We’ve loved hearing the excitement from families already, playing math and reading games, getting extra homework help, and feeling more confident using technology for school and everyday life. What may seem simple to some can make a huge difference for a child’s confidence and future opportunities.

Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, create, and thrive no matter their circumstances. We are incredibly grateful to AT&T for investing in Kansas City youth and helping bridge the digital divide in our community.
