Get Your Rear in Gear - Kansas City is an annual 5K run/walk hosted by the Colon Cancer Coalition with help from local volunteers. Join us in Spring 2027!

Proceeds stay within Kansas City to bring colon cancer education and awareness to the community. Kansas City’s largest event to defeat colon cancer, Get Your Rear in Gear events focus on raising awareness about our nation’s second leading cause of cancer death, and to encourage individuals of all ages to get screened. We are the largest colore**al cancer event in the Kansas City area that increases awareness of this most preventable and treatable of cancers, and raise money for efforts to improve screenings and support for those touched by this cancer. Our partner in this effort, the Colon Cancer Coalition, is a national organization that helps oversee our efforts and provide guidance and support.
