***2024 40k Event - Cancelled***
Hi Everyone

Yesterday we announced we had secured a new location for our premier 40k event. Late last night however, that location fell though. We are greatly disappointed. At this point we have exhausted all of the resources within the greater Kansas City area and have come to the conclusion that this year’s 40k event will not happen.

Our AoS and MCP events are still happening, so if you are interested, please check those out! All of the details are on our website.

YES, 40k WE WILL BE BACK FOR 2025! We’ve had 5 very successful years, and we expect to continue those in the future!

For those of you who have purchased a ticket to this year’s 40k tournament, you will receive an email today with next steps.

Again we are very saddened by this announcement as the Show Me Showdown has grown to become one of the Premier Gaming Events in the Mid-West. We will come back from this hiatus BIGGER AND BETTER!

***NEW VENUE DETAILS***
Due to an unfortunate issue with our venue, we’ve had to move to a new location this year. We are VERY disappointed as the 2023 venue was wonderful! Thankfully though, we’ve been able lock in new locations for all of the events (40k, AoS, and MCP). Additionally, our Dates remain August 2-4, 2024. Switching locations though has impacted some details, all of which are below.

What’s Changing?
40K
• New Venue Location – 6423 Railroad St, Raytown, MO 64133
• Smaller Venue - so we are maxed at 130 players
• New Rounds – we are moving to a 7 round event instead of 8. With the smaller size, 7 rounds gives us a true winner. Also, you will be done around 1pm on Sunday, so driving home is much easier. 3 Rounds Friday/ 3 Rounds Saturday/ 1 Round Sunday
• Bar and Food - No dedicated Food or Bar sales on site. No half priced Hot Dogs ☹I know this is a real bummer. You CAN bring your own alcohol and food to the site, but this venue does not sell anything. Sorry for this inconvenience.
• Reduced Ticket Price – Given we are moving the site and dealing with no alcohol sales etc., we felt it appropriate to reduce the sale price of the tickets to $85. There will be no price increase.
• Players who already bought a ticket at $95 – You will be receiving a $10 refund through BCP in the coming weeks.

• Smaller Venue - so we are maxed at 20 players

MCP
• New Venue Location – The Geekery - 12616 W 62nd Terrace #117, Shawnee, KS 66216
