KC Games for Good is an event to showcase – and celebrate – that sense of community service and civic pride for which both Kansas City and the Plaza Rotary Club are so well known. Typically hosted on the lawn of the National WWI Museum and Memorial, the festival will be conducted virtually this year! The event will still bring together a host of activities and resources under the common banner of
“Service Above Self.”
The event includes:
Each week, a new activity will be delivered to your team captain outlining the week’s assignment. For example:
• Where in KC Are They – Working against the
stopwatch, your team will view a short video
with clues to determine ”Where in KC” your
hosts are located.
• I’m Puzzled – Will your team be the fastest
to assemble a custom jigsaw puzzle featuring
logos of this year’s participants?
• Duck Launch Quack – In this popular redux,
teams mark off a designated launch area and
one lucky member will try to catch as many
ducks as possible in a pair of oversized pants.
• We are Family – Teams compete against
each other in a virtual “Family Feud” contest,
advancing through the bracket until a
tournament winner has been determined.
• My Kingdom for a Horse – Three celebrities
will take on three of your best shooters in this
highly sanitized, highly spread out version of
horse hosted at Hy-Vee Arena. All proceeds from KC Games for Good helps support those in need who are served locally by such organizations as the Urban Ranger Corps and Hope House, as well as those served around the globe through the Plaza Rotary Foundation. Come out to compete, or simply come out to enjoy the day. Either way, you won’t want to miss out!
