Neighbors & friends on the MO side, DO NOT VOTE ABSENTEE YET!! You only get to vote once per election, so if the Court shenanigans end up with you in a different district than the one you cast votes in, your votes for those positions won’t be counted (your votes for positions not affected by MO redistricting will count either way). More info here:

Election boards in Kansas City and Jackson County published notices on the first day of absentee voting that U.S. congressional maps could change after someone votes, and they won't get to vote again.

Only a few days left

The Kansas City Symphony Alliance’s “Farewell Symphony Designers’ Showhouse” runs through Sunday, July 5, at 12 W. 53rd Terrace.

The massive 3-story Prairie Style, stone and stucco residence, (nearly 6,000 square feet), was built in 1909. It has five spacious bedrooms, five fireplaces, hardwood floors, stained glass and other period details.

Now in its 56th year, the Kansas City event is one of the longest running showhouse fundraisers of its kind in the country, and has raised more than $5.5 million for the Kansas City Symphony and its programs.

Hours: are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
The cost is $25 in advance and $30 at the door.

Reporter note: I will post a reel in a bit showing some of the rooms. I will really miss this annual event that gives us a peek inside historic homes, as well as decorating ideas.
