KC Can Compost is hosting their first annual fundraising event, Gathering for the Greener Good, on October 13th, 5:30-7:30pm at the Sulgrave Regency Ballroom, 200 W. 49th St. KCMO, with live music, delicious food bites, and the emcee for the evening is Caroline Hogan from KSHB! The goal is to draw over 150 attendees, with partnering businesses being prominently featured in the evening program.

SAG #2 Summer Breeze!!

Cycling KC Summer Breeze ride in southern Jackson County. The pizza party furnished to the riders and volunteers was in the parking lot of the Bicycle Shack. The heat index was a bit more than usual, but it is the Midwest, and it is August! No wind and no rain!

Recyclers4Change welcomed riders finishing the Tour de Hope bike ride today. The World War I museum grounds overlooking the Liberty Memorial was a welcoming, grassy, shady hill with a cooling breeze for relaxing. A taco bar and beer truck helped! It was a beautiful day to collect compost and to meet friends.
