Program Philosophy
Early intervention and education will maximize each child's cognitive, social, communication and daily living skills in order to enhance their quality of life. All children are treated with respect and as unique individuals. All children have special needs and special strengths and in an appropriate environment learn from each other as well as from the teaching staff. A qualifie

The early years of a child’s life are filled with incredible growth and development. When delays or challenges are identified, early therapeutic intervention can make a lasting difference.

Speech, occupational, physical, and developmental therapies help children build critical skills during the time their brains are most ready to learn and adapt. Early intervention not only supports developmental milestones but also builds confidence, independence, and a strong foundation for future success.

At Northland Early Education Center, we see every day how early therapeutic services help children discover their strengths, overcome obstacles, and reach their full potential. The earlier support begins, the greater the opportunity for growth.

On Tuesdays, our Silver Room students look forward to spending time with Ms. Amy from Futures First during Sunshine Circle! ☀️

Sunshine Circle begins with a connection ritual that helps everyone feel welcomed and ready to learn together. This week, we checked in with our friends and talked about any “boo-boos” they might have had, building empathy and care for one another.

Next, we got moving with a fun gross motor activity! Students practiced turn-taking and building trust by creating a tunnel for their friends to safely crawl through. Activities like these help strengthen social skills, cooperation, and confidence.

We wrapped up with a calming activity focused on gentle touches and showing kindness. Our students practiced caring for one another through pretend “face painting,” encouraging nurturing interactions and positive peer connections.

These special moments help our children develop important social-emotional skills while having fun with their friends! 💙
