🦷 Calling all UMKC Dental Hygiene alumni! 🎃

Boo at the Zoo is almost here — Saturday, October 24th and Sunday, October 25th! Our current dental and dental hygiene students will be there with their OHI puppets, bringing big smiles to trick-or-treaters.

Come stop by, say hi, and cheer on the next generation — they'd love to see you. Halloween costumes encouraged, but not required! 👻

Student time slots are still being finalized — stay tuned!

Please make sure to stop by and say hello to our SOD students and show them support!

June Alumni Spotlight!

07/01/2026

✨🦷 ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT 🦷✨

Each month we are going to shout-out a UMKC Dental Hygiene alum that has gone above-and-beyond!

The first alum we are going to highlight is Maddie Hoffman, class of 2023. Please read below a message from Maddie regarding the Mission Trip she served in Jamaica earlier this year!

"I had the opportunity to serve on a week-long dental mission trip to Kingston, Jamaica this April—my second trip there in the past two years. Alongside a team of dentists, hygienists, and assistants, we provided a wide range of care- including cleanings, fillings, extractions, screenings, fluoride treatments, and oral health education. We treated both adults and school-aged children; many of whom had never received dental care before. It’s been incredibly meaningful to help bring these essential services to communities in need. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunities to connect with this community in Jamaica—building meaningful relationships, creating unforgettable memories, and sharing many smiles along the way. Looking forward to many more dental mission trips to come!"

Way to go Maddie!

If you or a fellow UMKC DH alum would like to be included in our monthly "Alumni Spotlight", be sure to message our FB page! Cannot wait to share all the wonderful achievements our alumni have accomplished!

Due to some unexpected connection issues, some images became blurry during our luncheon on Friday.

We have uploaded it here to view!

Umkc Dhaa plans to create a photo album very soon so we can continue to share memories with each other!
