We delivered dictionaries to third graders at Piper Creek Elementary this afternoon. They enjoyed learning the definition of citizen is by using the dictionary. They were amazed by the longest word in the dictionary and all the other information contained in this book. It was a great time for all. One of our member's son received his dictionary too.

Tonight we hosted our annual hayride and hotdog roast for the young people at Camber Children's Mental Health Kansas City. We love being able to provide this fall outing for these young people and judging by the hotdogs and s'mores consumed we think they like it too!

Tonight we installed our 2026-27 officers and directors.
We enjoyed a very nice meal and appreciate past Kansas Kiwanis governor Bill Donnigan joining us from the Johnson County club to lead our installation. Incoming club president Doris Vanek shared how we are greater than the sum of our parts, each sharing something to help make life better for the young people in our community.
Thanks to all for joining us, and to Maywood Community Church for use of the lovely church.
