STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: Demetrius!

Demetrius has been in our program for over 3 years and it's been wonderful to witness his growth and progress. With a kind and helpful spirit, Demetrius loves to learn and loves to serve. This Summer, he has been working at the building as part of our Real World Learning program, helping us with our building remodel, cleaning, and community events. He is excited for the school year to start! Demetrius will be entering 11th grade at Ruskin High, where he plans to continue his Track team journey, take extra classes for additional credit, and learn Spanish for the first time.

We are so proud of Demetrius and the big steps he's taken at The Bridge.

It takes a village! We are so thankful for the volunteers who supported us at our Annual Backpack Giveaway. The smiles, the energy, and the hard work don't go unnoticed. We couldn't have done it without these wonderful people.

What a blast! Because of the generosity of our volunteers and supporters, we were able to distribute more than 200 backpacks, hygiene bags, pillows, mental health tips, and other essential items to help students prepare for a successful start to the new school year.
