Registration is now open for the 2026 World Series of Barbecue® Kids Que contest! The competition will take place on October 3 and features two age divisions:

Ages 6–10: Cooking hamburger
Ages 11–15: Cooking steak — with a $1,000 scholarship up for grabs for the winner!

Are you interested in judging at the World Series of Barbecue? 🔥

Applications are now open for judges in the Kids Que, Sides, Invitational and Open contests. KCBS Certified Barbecue Judges are eligible to apply for Kids Que, Sides, Invitational and Open judging opportunities, while non-certified judges are welcome to apply for the Open Contest.

Judge confirmations will begin in July, with additional details and directions sent later this summer.

Registration is now open for teams with 20+ years of participation in the American Royal World Series of Barbecue® that didn’t already register in the previous tiers.
