Art With Friends is a group of Northland artists who enjoy creating and sharing their art. Some attend a weekly art group.

LD shared his almanac with the group. This is the 20th year creating this informative almanac. You might be surprised to know it is created by hand printing. LD’s career as an architectural engineer lends to his beautiful hand printing skills.

I met Robert Mesa when he walked into my technology class wanting assistance with his new smartphone. Amid all his initial frustrations he became quite able to handle most of his smartphone tasks. His family bought him an iPad and pencil. He quickly got the hang of the art program and grasped painting digital paintings.
Robert was already an artist in acrylic paintings and pencil drawings. He enjoys painting faces and his specialty leans toward cultural depictions. Robert also enjoys carving and painting gourds and skulls. I will show more of his works as I can.

Jeanette Weaver has been a Kansas City North resident for over 30 years. She’s active in the Northland Art League and has been involved in plein air more this year. Jeanette prefers watercolor but likes to try new art media. Her artwork has been displayed throughout the Northland. More of her art can be found here. Inquire if interested in buying.

Here are a few beautiful acrylic paintings by LD Herman. LD is a local KC northland artist, trained as an architect at KU, and spent 35 years in the drawing and construction of commercial buildings. LD is now retired and stays busy painting and participates in plein air events. Many of his paintings can be purchased. LD has exhibited in a number of gallery shows throughout the Kansas City area.
