Our friend Rye will be set up with her typewriter typing out poems for everyone from 7.30-9.30! She’s one of the most talented poets in Kansas City, and each piece she writes is tailored to the individual - a truly remarkable experience!

Now announcing our June first Friday event! We will be turning into a gallery full of q***r art! We’ll have a fun range of mediums from clay to fiber and you’ll have three days to grab a drink and see the exhibit!

Previously we’ve said this fundraiser will be donating to the Outright LGBTIQ Ukraine Emergency Fund, but while reading more about the q***r experience in Ukraine we came across the story of Vlad Shast. Before the invasion they were living their life as a stylist and one of Kyiv’s premiere drag performers, but that all changed almost over night. Despite being given the option to leave Ukraine they signed up for a local territorial defense group and shortly after was drafted into military service. Just a few days ago, Vlad Shast announced their partnership with United Ukraine to provide protective armor plates used to protect those caught in battle zones. We have nothing negative to say about the Outright fund we simply felt more drawn by Vlad’s story as it not only felt like a more grassroots campaign, it also made us think about what our actions would be if the invasion was happening in Kansas City. We will be having a raffle towards the end of this event featuring prizes from Paradise Garden Club, Red Hare Leather, Silver Linings and more! More announcements regarding specific prizes will be shared soon as well as how you can buy pre-sale before the event for a discount.
