Wanted to send a shout-out to Samantha Bradbeer-Stephens! She is a Hallmark historian and archivist and former KCAA senior co-chair. She was featured recently in a Kansas City Star article on Hallmark's archives and their Peanuts collection in particular. She was also featured on the You Don’t Know Peanuts Podcast and helped install a new display on the Hallmark & Peanuts partnership at the nearby Hallmark Visitors Center. She is doing an amazing job with some interesting and fun work!

The Star took a field trip to Hallmark to look at over a century of artwork hosted inside the 17,000-square-foot building, just a few days before Snoopy’s birthday.

It is to share about our Spring 2025 business meeting at the Johnson County Museum! After wrapping up KCAA updates, we took a tour through JCM’s collections storage and gallery. We got a sneak peek at the next special exhibit they are planning that involves wedding and quinceañera dresses. Us archivists, historians, curators alike love our maps, photos, etc. and we looked through those too along with lots of other archival materials! It was another successful and exciting meet-up! Thank you Johnson County Museum for hosting!
