RAIL wants YOUR input on the future of Missouri's SPIL. What's a "SPIL" you ask?

A "SPIL" is a State Plan for Independent Living (SPIL).
This is a three-year blueprint detailing how a state will provide services and funding to help people with disabilities live independently in their communities.
States must submit this legally required document to receive federal funding.

Join RAIL on Wednesday, August 5th from 2 PM - 4 PM at our Kirksville office for this FREE community event!

Even when things are going well with the IEP team, it can still feel overwhelming to sit across from a group of professionals who work with your child. Never feel guilty about asking a friend, relative, neighbor, or advocate to come sit with you at the meeting.

Give It. Get It. Reuse It.

Do you have used medical equipment you no longer need?
empower: abilities collects gently used durable medical equipment—like walkers, wheelchairs, shower chairs, and more—and recycles them back into the community at no cost to those in need. This is a great time of year to clean out the garage and donate used equipment - we will give it to someone who can benefit from it.

Donate it. Reuse it. Empower someone’s independence.
