Red Tail Academy completed their second annual youth aviation summer camp last week on the campus of the University of Central Missouri. Ten students ages 14-16 participated in the weeklong program which covered most parts of the private pilot ground school syllabus as well as an introduction to Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS). Most of the courses and activities were instructed by UCM Aviation students and instructors which was a huge plus. Many thanks to Dr. Jim Gamble, Mr David Jupp and program coordinator Ms Samantha Bradley for their significant assistance in making this happen. Can’t wait to do it again next year!!

Spent a few days this week at a local elementary school talking about aviation careers. Pre-K to 5th graders, all with excellent questions and wonderful curiosity about what jobs look like! our Development Director had a blast sharing the mission and love for with all the students!
