This news feels especially meaningful to us at The Toolbox.
From our earliest days, Network Kansas has been one of the partners that believed in what we were trying to build in Wyandotte County. Their support, relationships, resources, and willingness to empower local communities have played an important role in helping us serve entrepreneurs and grow our work.
This week, Network Kansas announced that longtime CEO Steve Radley will step away in April 2027, with Erik Pedersen transitioning from president and COO to CEO. Steve and Erik have worked together at Network Kansas since nearly the beginning, helping build a statewide network that now includes more than 80 local eCommunities and hundreds of partners.
We want to sincerely thank Steve for his leadership and commitment to entrepreneurs across Kansas, and congratulate Erik as he prepares to lead Network Kansas into its next chapter.
We are grateful to call Network Kansas a partner and look forward to continuing to work alongside Erik, Steve, and the entire team to create more opportunities for Kansas entrepreneurs.
Congratulations to you both, and thank you for believing in local communities and the people doing the work within them. 💙
With the duo starting their jobs at Network Kansas just two weeks apart, Erik Pedersen feels like a co-founder, said Steve Radley. Now, 21 years later, the organization’s first employee is preparing to depart, leaving his longtime friend and colleague to step into the top role.
