⚽🌎 Kansas City is showing our World Cup spirit!!

Our pharmacy is looking a little more colorful these days with flags from around the world hanging throughout the building. But for us, this isn't just about soccer.

Every day, we serve patients who speak many different languages. That's why we can provide prescription labels translated into a patient's preferred language and use interpretation services during consultations to make sure patients truly understand their medications and their health.

Because getting medicine is important. Understanding how to take it is just as important.

The World Cup reminds us that while we may come from different countries, cultures, and backgrounds, we're all neighbors here in Kansas City.

We're proud to be part of a community that welcomes the world, and we're honored to care for patients from around the world right here at home. ❤️

More than 35 years ago, Elaine stood in a pharmacy and cried.

She was in her early twenties, uninsured, struggling financially, and unable to afford a simple antibiotic prescription.

Today, Elaine is in a position to help others avoid the same experience. Since November 2022, she has faithfully supported Pharmacy of Grace with monthly donations, making 44 gifts, month after month, to help ensure our neighbors have access to the medications they need.

As Elaine shared, that memory of struggling to afford her medication stayed with her:
"That memory is what keeps me donating to your organization."

Thank you, Elaine, for your generosity, compassion, and commitment to helping others access life-changing medications.

June is Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month!

Did you know that more than 55 million people worldwide are living with Alzheimer's or another form of dementia?

You can take proactive steps to lower your risk of cognitive decline by following brain-healthy habits such as exercising, maintaining a healthy weight, and controlling blood pressure.

Sometimes taking care of your health just means having the right tool, and someone who takes the time to show you how to use it. 💙

Johanna came to us after Mercy & Truth Healthcare Ministry noticed her blood pressure was a little high. They wanted her to keep an eye on it at home. She wasn't sure what to expect when she stopped by Pharmacy of Grace, but she walked out with a free blood pressure cuff and the confidence to use it.

Johanna was so pleased to have someone take time for her and really make sure she understood what to do: "They were very good at explaining it," Joanna told us. "It was just nice. It didn't seem like I was bothering anyone."

She also wanted to thank donors for making the blood pressure cuff program possible. She loves that the cost of the tool won’t ever be an obstacle for anyone: "I thought I was going to pay at least something, but it was actually just free. That was really nice."

Health isn't just about medications. It's about having the tools, the knowledge, and the support to stay on top of things before they become a bigger problem. That's what we're here for. ❤️

We all know that hydration is essential for our health, but did you know that 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated? As the weather warms up, hydration becomes more and more important. ☀️

That’s why we’re kicking off our Drink More Water Challenge. The rules are simple: 💧 Drink 8 glasses of water per day for the next week. 💧

Reap the benefits: clearer skin, better focus, and more energy. Accept the challenge and let us know how you do!!

Would you take a medication if you couldn't read the instructions on the bottle?

During a recent Pharmacy of Grace tour, guests took part in our "Would You Take This?" activity, trying to identify languages and interpret prescription instructions written in unfamiliar languages.

The challenge offered a glimpse into a barrier many patients face every day. That's why Pharmacy of Grace provides prescription labels and instructions in a patient's preferred language, helping ensure medications are used safely and correctly.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the tour and helped us shine a light on the importance of language access in healthcare. ❤️
