BLAQUE KC is hiring a Vice President of Teach KC to lead a new $13M regional educator workforce initiative, funded by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation. The goal is 1,500 new teachers across the region over ten years.

Executive-level role — coalition governance, full grant oversight, a team of six, reporting to the CEO. $135K–$165K. Applications close August 30.

I'm not applying, but I know several people who should be. If you've led a teacher pipeline or a cross-sector coalition, take a look. Link in comments.

Congrats to Soror Carla J. Gunner on her retirement. A few days ago, friends, family, & colleague gathered to celebrate her 31 years as a Special Education Teaching Professional across two (2) different districts.

Her commitment to students who are often othered, made to feel invisible, or relegated to feeling as if they are a burden should be celebrated.

Thanks, Soror, for pouring your heart and soul into multiple generations of OUR students. 👩🏿‍🏫❤️💛
