We began the week with gratitude, journeyed through the road map of the heart, sat with the Father in Immanuel Journaling, walked through some stones of remembrance, and ended our time with affirmations over one another.

This group pressed into His heart big and loved even bigger. What a wonderful start to our summer- and an incredible first high school camp!

Today we launch our "sponsor a camper" fundraiser! Our team believes that EVERY child should have the opportunity to experience the love and joy at camp kindling. And we need our community's help!

Tomorrow and Friday will be bittersweet days at camp as we have our last days of classes. I have been blessed to watch friendships bloom, to watch students walk in forgiveness, to have worship dance parties, to see way too many campers try to cheat at Gaga ball, to laugh big and adventure even bigger.

This land has been many things for many different people over the years. But to the campers and teachers who walk these acres every week, it just feels like the covering of His wing. A safe place for all ages to be reminded that we are His children- and oh how He loves each one of us so much.

The slow meaningful pause of winter has settled on the land here at Camp Kindling. We miss the noise of joy from excited littles but we are thankful for a time of intentional rest and connection within the walls of our home.

Today while walking the camp I was hit with the beauty of this season... chilly winds and bare trees... and appreciating the rest that needs to happen for the fruitfulness ahead. We miss you all and pray the winter pause is making room for more intentional moments with those you cherish.
