A LONG READ FOR THE FOLKS WHO CARE A LOT ABOUT THEIR HEALTH AND WELLBEING (sorry it may be too long for those who don't read):

Vitamin C is vital for tissue repair, immunity, and antioxidant protection, helping form collagen for skin, bones, and blood vessels while fighting cell-damaging free radicals. Key benefits include supporting immune function, enhancing iron absorption, promoting wound healing, maintaining healthy skin, and potentially reducing risks for chronic diseases like heart disease. Also, the naturally occurring carbohydrates, in whole fruits, satisfy the body's needs for carbohydrates and the minerals that are in whole fruits, help balance blood sugar, reduce excess body fat and improve digestion.

Processed, man-made sources of vitamin c are usually synthetic, made from GMO corn via chemical processes, and stripped of natural co-factors, differing from whole-food vitamin C in packaged foods and supplements.

Minerals like magnesium and zinc are crucial for overall digestive function, while specific pairings boost absorption: Vitamin C significantly enhances iron absorption, and Vitamin D aids calcium and magnesium absorption, but absorption depends on the presence of naturally, balanced co-factors in whole, unprocessed foods.

Consuming man-made vitamins, that are without these natural co-factors (as acquired from man made supplementation) the body does NOT absorb necessary nutrients.
