Kankakee Lung Cancer Walk In Memory of Wanda White BREATHE DEEP Kankakee was a walk/ fun run ro raise funds and awareness for lung cancer research with proceeds going to LUNGevity Foundation.

Event Coordinator Tammy White started working with LUNGevity Foundation after hearing her mother had lung cancer. In August 2009 they held the first local event and her mom supported her all the way. She worried she was working too hard on it though. July 21,2012 Wanda White lost her battle with lung cancer. Tammy and her daughter Alexis miss her and think of her everyday and continue the battle AGAINST lung cancer until WE WIN!!

I can not thank everyone enough for supporting this great cause over the past 9 events!

Come join us Saturday May 13th at Kankakee Civic Auditorium for an event at Small Memorial Park. You can still register online today until 3 pm, or just walk right in the day of the event for our 9 am registration. We look forward to seeing past walkers and to meeting new folks as well!!

PLEASE HELP us to raise much needed funding for such an important cause, lung cancer research. Funds you raise or a donation you can make by dropping one off that day will help fund research to improve quality of life for folks in need.
