It was a good turnout for the club's first canned food drive! Thanks for sharing the Thanksgiving spirit!!! It's a great feeling to know that you're helping the less fortunate. Great job!

Have a great Thanksgiving!

Just wanted to say THANK YOU to our activity coordinator, Kent, and all the volunteers that are helping man the donation table at Down Town Campus for PHILIPPINES TYPHOON refugees. It is estimated that 4 million people are displaced by the typhoon, and they are currently living in the tents waiting for supplies and aids. It is a reminder that as of today, we are now ACCEPTING ITEMS (i.e. clothes, blankets, First-Aid products, and other disaster products) until FRIDAY. All donations will be brought to the HLC Dining Commons where Sodexo, the company operating the dining commons, will bring these items to LBC who will then ship all items out to those in need in the Philippines. Please spread the word and offer as much help to them.

Also, we just wanted to remind you that we are still collecting CANNED foods and NON-PERISHABLE foods for the Hawaii Food Bank. By donating one can, you’re providing food for people in need. Also, THANKSGIVING is next week and we want to donate these canned foods to show our aloha to this organization and the community. As of today, there were 55 canned foods and 9 non-perishable items donated. Our goal is to collect and donate a total of 100 canned foods and non-perishable items and we’re a little over half way so keep those canned foods coming!

THANK YOU for supporting our club events by donating your time and/or items. We appreciate it!

Hey everyone! Our activity coordinator, Kent Pardillo, has scheduled a tabling event at the downtown campus to help with the Philippines typhoon relief. As you may have heard, the Philippines has been devastated one week ago with one of the strongest typhoons ever recorded in history. According to reports, 10,000 people are feared to be dead. With that being said, the Pre-Health Club will be tabling this whole week from 9am-4pm raising awareness and encouraging students to donate online to the American Red Cross. No cash or check donations will be accepted. We are expecting to have other volunteers from the Japanese Club and Health Promotion and Wellness Club. If you would like to volunteer a couple hours to encourage students to donate, feel free to sign up via the doodle link below. If you have any questions, please let us know or email Kent at [email protected]
Thank you so much! It is greatly appreciated!
