Students, teachers and volunteers have been hard at work onstage and off. Our amazing props and costume designer, Aunty Mahina has us making giant dandelions, and is making casts for our injured farm animals.

Timothy Bright .bright.schoolofstories teaches Workshops for Actors, July 6-10, 2026 from 6-8:30pm at Paliku Theatre.

Here's another opportunity to spend your summer with IABK!! This series of workshops is specifically for teens and/or adults looking to purely develop their muscles as an actor in a safe and educational environment. Using mainly monologues, these workshops will be aimed at strengthening the core storytelling facets of acting through script analysis, characterization, impulse and objective work, and play. These workshops are optimal for high school students or others considering auditioning for college programs/conservatories and are in need of preparatory coaching, guidance, or even in need of finding a monologue to feel confident in.

Jade Stice was one of the co-founders of IABK and the artistic director of our summer musical theatre arts education program. She directed the very first full-length musical production for IABK and our summer program, 'On Dragonfly Wings' in 2017.

IABK and the Stice 'Ohana are committed to arts education for all. We strive to keep our program accessible for all families. In its second year, The Dragonfly Awards will provide tuition waivers for our core afternoon program for selected students.

IABK welcomes Jen Brooks to our summer workshop staff!

Jen Brooks is an accomplished musical theater performer from the San Francisco Bay Area, who spent 16 years training and working professionally in New York City. An AMDA-NYC Graduate, her performing credits include the international touring company of A Chorus Line. The Marianas Islands premier of Mamma Mia! in Guam and US regional productions of Cats, Something Rotten, Beautiful- The Carol King Musical, Singin’ in The Rain, Anastasia, Into The Woods, Gypsy and beyond.

Jen will be teaching two morning sessions for us this summer. Her Audition Workshop will be June 29-July 2 and Musical Theatre Movement and Dance July 6-10.
