Last night, the Kalona Public Library Director, Olivia Kahler, and the Kalona Public Library Foundation Vice President, Jerry Beeler, were able to attend the Community Foundation of Washington County's Annual Awards Reception.

This organization does great things for Washington County and we are glad to be a part of it!

Hello Friends of the library,

Thank you all for your incredible support this past weekend for our annual Cookie Walk! We had a wonderful (and delicious!) amount of cookies donated from many of you, as well as enjoyed seeing you at the event. We increased our amount of money earned from last year's Cookie Walk, which is great! All of our sales from the event help provide continued support for the library and its needs. Again, we truly couldn't have done it without you so thank you!

Also, a big congratulations to our two Friends that won gift cards to Kalona Coffee: Deb Harland and Mary Jo Beeler!

If you donated cookies and have a container to pickup, the library staff will be glad to help you locate your container from the kitchen.

Have you noticed our new outdoor playscape?

The Grand Opening will be October 11th! Find Cider, Cookies, and Donuts to enjoy while listening to stories from 9-11.

The Ribbon cutting for this playscape, courtesy of the Washington County Riverboat Foundation, will be held at 10 am.
