4-H Soccer members and families:

Last fall 4-H began offering soccer in Kalkaska as part of our regular program. Our season wasn’t very long and there were some bumps along the way. Still, plans were in place to return this spring with a stronger program. Unfortunately, this past December the position of 4-H Program Coordinator was vacated. Since that time there hasn’t been a staff member to move forward with all of the valued components necessary for a fun, organized and successful soccer season. For this reason we have made the decision to postpone a spring 4-H soccer season. Instead, we will continue to focus on recruiting and hiring a new 4-H Program Coordinator for Kalkaska County with a goal of returning this fall with a well-planned soccer program.
We apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to returning to soccer soon.

In the weekend storms, we lost internet to our office. If you need soccer info, please email Karie at [email protected]. She'll get back with you as soon as possible, but there may be a slight delay.

If you have soccer forms to turn in, please drop them to our office (890 Island Lake Rd). There's a blue drop box outside the building available 24/7. We need those forms back by Thursday ight so we can assign teams and coaches!

📢⚽ VOLUNTEER INFO NEEDED ASAP!!!
We are working on getting a fall season going, but need to start figuring out who will be working with organization this season. If you are planning, or thinking about, coaching or volunteering this fall we need your information ASAP. The fall season usually starts the week after Labor Day (September 13th) and runs through the end of October (weather permitting).

📅Practices may begin as early as the week of April 12th. (Schedule decided by individual coaches)
📅Games could begin as early as April 23rd, and will be at Heritage Park in Rapid City.
📅The season will end after games the weekend of May 22nd.
😀Ages: Players who were ages 4-11 on January 1st, 2021 are eligible. (if interested in playing at 3 or 12 please, email request) .
⚽We NEED coaches and parent helpers. We will supply coaching materials to all coaches.
💲Cost: $20
🔵Masks are required at all times for players and coaches
🟩Masks and social distancing are required for all spectators

It is with great sadness that KAYSO is announcing the cancellation of our 2020 fall soccer season. Participants who registered in the spring will be receiving full refunds. Please allow two weeks for this process to be completed. Thank you for your patience during this time and we look forward to seeing you in the spring of 2021!

2020 Fall Update - ACTION REQUIRED

KAYSO needs to know who plans to participate in the 2020 Fall Season. Here is what we know:

~ All coaches, players and spectators MUST wear a MASK at all times
~ Practices will primarily consist of individual skill drills and games that do not allow person to person contact.
~ Players are to bring their own soccer ball and water bottle and may not share with others.
~ Hand washing or hand sanitizer will be required prior to practice
~ Any player showing signs of sickness is asked to stay home, or if at practice will be immediately asked to leave
~ Games will likely be played, but may have additional restrictions as yet set out by MSYSA.
~ Spectators are limited AND social distance between families is required.
~ The season could run from September 14 - October 31st, weather permitting.
~ Travel soccer (U12) expectations are currently unknown

If you have a player interested in playing, please contact KAYSO with the following information ASAP:
