A MESSAGE FROM OUR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR:
Dear Warming Center Friends and Family,
As we close out yet another successful year at the Flathead Warming Center, I want to take a moment to reflect—and to look ahead with hope, determination, and gratitude.
We are a strong organization. We never give up. And we're only getting better. I am so very proud to say that! Just wait to see what's next!
This past season, we helped 35 individuals transition into housing or inpatient treatment. In just the first 30 days of our 7th winter shelter season, we have helped 6 additional individuals to move beyond homelessness to a better life outcome! That's 41 lives moved toward stability, safety, and healing. Behind every number lies a story—and behind every story stands a dedicated team working tirelessly in one of today's most challenging fields of social service. Their commitment, compassion, and grit inspire me every single day.
We operate with best practices, even when we face criticism. We don't shy away from hard conversations. We lean in. Because we know our mission matters-not just to those we serve directly, but to our entire community. Our model of care is essential. Our presence is vital.
I'm proud of our staff. I'm proud of our volunteers. I'm proud of our Board of Directors, who stand firm in the face of criticism, grounded in the belief that dignity and compassion are worth defending. And I'm proud of you- our community. Your support, your encouragement, and your generosity have carried us through another year.
As we enter another Montana winter, the cold brings real and immediate danger to those experiencing homelessness. Your support is what allows us to protect the most vulnerable-offering warmth, safety, and dignity when it's needed most. We ask for your continued generosity. Every donation helps us stay open, stay strong, and stay focused on what truly matters: walking alongside our guests on their journey from homelessness to home.
