Moving forward, Irons Ready and DIY Engine are being replaced by 1st Due Search 4 Them—a two-day, hands-on (HOT) class focused on searching from a 1st due apparatus, whether operating from an Engine or a Truck.

This change comes after securing a two-story acquired residential structure for use during the conference. This rare opportunity allows attendees to train where it matters most—inside a real home—and get maximum value from realistic, high-tempo search operations.

DIY Engine HOT will take place on June 7, 2026. This class is 10+ hours of hands on training, covering all the essential fireground tasks a first arriving engine company could be expected to accomplish, with limited staffing.
