Humane Society of Northwest Montana Our Humane Society is a private 501(c)3 nonprofit that does not receive any city, county, state or federal funding.

We are sustained soley by the generosity of individual donors, local businesses and our wider community. HSNWMT is a private 501(c)(3) non-profit that provides a caring & safe environment for dogs and cats until they can be united with a forever home. Our Adoption Center is a no-kill, limited admission animal welfare facility. Therefore, all dog & cat intakes and pet adoptions are scheduled by appointment.

This kind of rescue reminds us why community support matters so much. ❤️🐾
Fourteen Schnauzers have arrived at the Humane Society of Northwest Montana after being rescued from a heartbreaking hoarding and backyard breeding situation in Anaconda. Some are puppies. Some are seniors. All are frightened, under socialized, and in need of medical care, comfort, and time to heal.
For perhaps the first time in their lives, these dogs are experiencing safety, kindness, and hope. But their journey is just beginning.
Every veterinary exam, spay/neuter surgery, microchip, grooming appointment, and dental treatment comes at a cost. Your support helps ensure that when animals arrive in crisis, we're ready to give them the care they deserve.

Vaccinations are one of the most important ways we can help protect our pets from serious and potentially life-threatening diseases. Staying current on vaccines isn’t just another item on the to-do list.
